Rebecca Goldstein

Rebecca Goldstein's son Gideon was eight years old when he was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme in May 2018. He received treatment at the Royal Children’s Hospital before passing away in May 2019.
Drawing on her lived experience and medical perspective, Rebecca hopes to assist parents in similar situations as they navigate the diagnosis and management process and to provide a consumer viewpoint for new childhood cancer research. Rebecca is interested in all aspects of childhood cancer, particularly brain tumours. She has participated in numerous advocacy initiatives, including the Royal Children’s Hospital palliative care podcast on grief and serving as a legacy ambassador for the Robert Connor Dawes Foundation.
Rebecca is an endocrinologist and medical researcher at Monash University.
