Monique Boggia's son was three years old when he was diagnosed with giant cell glioblastoma in 2018. Her son is now in remission and is monitored by his medical teams at the Royal Children’s Hospital and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

Monique’s son and his family had a positive experience with care and support, yet there is still room for improvement. Through the Patient and Family Advisory Committee, Monique aims to contribute to advancements and support for patients and their families, believing that communication with patients and families should be neuro-affirming.
