Scientific Advisors
Our commitment to scientific rigour ensures we support projects that deliver real-world, transformative outcomes.

Scientific Advisory Committees
Children’s Cancer CoLab prioritises scientific rigour and independent expertise in our funding decisions. Our competitive funding model and evaluation framework is designed to select and support highly impactful and collaborative projects and people.
To guide our research and innovation funding, we have assembled two Scientific Advisory Committees (SAC) comprised of highly esteemed national and international experts from various disciplines related to childhood cancer.
Our SACs provide advice on areas of unmet need so that funding priorities can be set to accelerate research, innovation and collaboration in these areas of childhood cancer.
For each round of Impact Program funding, the relevant SAC rigorously evaluates each grant application to select the project with the greatest potential impact, emphasising collaboration across clinical, research and academic institutions.
This dedication to scientific excellence, coupled with our belief in achieving greater outcomes through collaboration, ensures that our funded research delivers transformative, real-world results.
Our Australian and international Scientific Advisory Committee members volunteer their time to support our work on childhood cancer, with many attending meetings at unconventional hours. Their commitment and generous efforts contribute to improving outcomes for childhood cancer in Australia and globally.
