Prof Grant McArthur AO

MBBS FRACP PhD FAHMS

Professor Grant McArthur is the Chief Executive Officer of the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre Alliance and the inaugural Lorenzo Galli Chair of Melanoma and Skin Cancers at the University of Melbourne. He also heads the Molecular Oncology Laboratory and is a Senior Consultant Medical Oncologist at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

Prof McArthur has received numerous awards, including the Translational Research Award of the Foundation Nelia et Amadeo Barletta, the Sir Edward Dunlop Clinical Cancer Research Fellowship, the Martin Lackmann Medal for Translational Research, and the Tom Reeve Award from the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia.

Prof McArthur has published over 300 scientific papers and has led numerous clinical trials. His research interests include melanoma, targeted therapies, personalised medicine, and the discovery of novel drug targets in cancer.
